Vidant Medical Group and Vidant Chowan Hospital in Edenton, NC are seeking a Hospitalist to join its program. The successful candidate will be BC in Internal Medicine.
Highlights include:
• 7 days on/7 days off; 7 AM – 5 PM with 3 nights call
• ICU/Critical Care duties; 4-bed ICU
• Average inpatient census is 15 patients per day
• Required procedures include intubation, thoracentesis, central lines, lumbar puncture, EKG interpretation

• 90 minutes south of Norfolk, VA and the beautiful beaches of North Carolina’s Outer Banks

Vidant Chowan Hospital
Located in historic Edenton, NC, Vidant Chowan Hospital provides services to 45,000 people in four counties. Vidant Chowan Hospital’s partnership with Vidant Health gives our patients access to state-of-the-art services provided by an academic medical center. The medical staff includes some of the finest primary care, pediatric and internal medicine physicians in the region. The hospital has a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Special medical and surgical services at Vidant Chowan Hospital include intensive care, a surgical center, emergency department, an expanded labor and delivery suite and bone density screening.
Vidant Medical Group is a multispecialty physician group sponsored by Vidant Health. Currently Vidant Medical Group employs over 375 providers including primary care and specialists. The group offers the infrastructure needed to manage a modern medical practice including processes for billing and collection, group contracting, electronic medical records and other technologies.
