INTERNAL MEDICINE - PRIVATE PRACTICE! BEAUTIFUL SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA!

Family Health Care Associates (FHCA), in Lebanon, Virginia is seeking a qualified Internal Medicine physician to join a very active practice. This practice seeks a like-minded physician to replace a physician who will be departing the practice this month. FHCA is a Christian, multispecialty primary care practice, located in the heart of southwest Virginia surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. Less than thirty minutes away from Interstate 81 on Highway 19, just north of historic Abingdon, Virginia.

The practice was established in 1980 by two patriarch physicians, one of whom still is practicing and has remained in Lebanon serving the families of the county and surrounding area. This practice includes a provider board certified in family medicine and geriatrics and t wo certified family nurse practitioners. Equipped with a moderate complexity lab, digitized radiology and electronic medical records the practice is able to offer comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care to patients of all ages. The staff believe in treating patients both physically, spiritually and emotionally.

Inpatient practice is provided solely at Russell County Medical Center a 78 bed facility located in Lebanon. Physicians with FHCA participate in the rotation for the emergency room of Russell County Medical Center. FCHA nurse practitioners assist the physician with daily rounds which allows them a cohesive flow upon discharge from the hospital back to the office..

Ridgewood Health Care (a subsidiary of FHCA) is an independently owned Rural Health Clinic. The Rural Health Clinic designation has allowed the nurse practitioners to practice more independently since its inception in 1991.

Russell County Medical Center is a 100% Mountain States Health Alliance facility and, along with its inpatient services, is experiencing significant growth in outpatient and behavioral health services. The Medical Center is supporting Dr. Bailey in this effort with an income guarantee, sign-on bonus and relocation expenses for the selected physician.
