Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Eligible / Board Certified - Internal Medicine provider needed in an Upstate New York facility for an opportunity starting in September. This opportunity offers 7hr days. The provider must be well-versed in a Primary Care setting.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
NY licensed Internal Medicine needed to administer nerve condition tests and retina checks at an Endocrinologist office. Dates: September: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th and 9th. Schedule: 9a-4p (Client Flexible). Certifications: Board Eligible / Board Certified, DEA required. Support staff includes an RN and MA that will show how to operate the machines.
