Lanier Health Services is located along interstate 85 between Atlanta, GA and Auburn University, AL. We sit beside the Chattahoochee River in Valley, AL, but we are only 7 miles from Kia's only automotive production plant in the United States which is in West Point, GA. Approximately 4,500 hundred jobs have been added in our community as a result of Kia's production plant and the six supplier plants that have all located here as well.
We have a 4 internal medicine physicians who will be retiring in the next 2-3 years and there are multiple options for you to consider:
1.Our lead IM physician is looking for a partner to come into his practice - and ultimately, take over as he transitions out in two years. The hospital will offer a Net Income Guarantee. Dr. Kamath is also BC Gastroenterologist who wants to do more scopes. He would like the new doctor to see patients in office and hospital (we do not have hospitalist program) and also to help with nursing home patients as well. The two will share office space, billing functions and staff, share patients and coverage which is 1:5 today. The new doctor will be able to build your patient base the first week you join. Patients today are waiting 6-7 weeks for an appointment.
2. Internal Medicine/Critical Care. Physician wants someone to join his practice as he plans to retire in 2 years. Need training or at least experience working with critical care patients. He is one of two CC docs we have. IM call group today is 1:5. Hospital to offer 1 year NIG.
3. Retiring in May 2013. Internal Medicine physician who wants to give her practice to new physician. Hospital to offer 1 year NIG.
4. Internal Medicine employed by the hospital. New physician to become an employee of the hospital with full benefits. Call coverage is 1:5 today among IM.
