Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is the multi-specialty faculty practice that employs physicians at six major teaching hospitals, many community treatment centers, and the NYC Correctional Health System in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx, New York.
With approximately 65,000 admissions per year and 10,000 average daily population, the NYC jail system is among the largest in the nation. The Division of Correctional Health Services (CHS) of New York City Health + Hospitals (H + H) is responsible for the delivery of medical care, mental health care and discharge planning in the jail system.
We are currently accepting application for the Correctional Health System at Riker's Island and Manhattan House Detention Center for Full time, Part Time and Per Diem Primary Care Physicians.
Staff physicians provide primary care to patients in jail based clinics, perform intake evaluation and treatment and provide emergency care with the support of Emergency Medicine physicians.
The healthcare system is a single-payer system that requires no physician time dedicated to billing. No administrative work is expected outside of work hours, promoting career/life balance.
Compensation and benefits are competitive and malpractice is covered.
