Internal Medicine Opportunity Near Dallas, Texas

Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia, Texas, is seeking a full time, BC/BE Family Medicine Physician.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
• Looking for a BC/BE physician in mid to late 2015 for either employed or independent practice in Mexia, Texas.
• Practice should quickly develop into 23 -25 patients per day.
• Rural Health Clinic setting currently has 1 Internist, 1 MedPed, and 2 Family Medicine physicians, along with 3.5 mid-level providers.
• In addition to the RHC, there is a multispecialty clinic with a wide range of visiting physicians.
• There is a full service lab and radiology department onsite at the hospital.
• Option to refer inpatients to the hospitalist service or follow own inpatients.
• Included is an excellent starting salary, sign on and relocation package.
• A very robust bonus potential is available which could significantly boost the salary.
• Also, area nursing home, home health and hospice directorships are available.
• Local medical staff is very welcoming of new physicians.
• The office is located in a medical office building adjacent to the hospital.
• Mexia is approximately one hour south of Dallas.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
• Parkview Regional Hospital is a 58-bed acute care hospital with full Joint Commission accreditation.
• The hospital serves Limestone, Freestone, Hill and Leon counties in north-central Texas, covering a 50-mile radius and a population of 40,000.
• Parkview Regional offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services including a 24-hour physician-staffed Emergency Room, expanded ICU/CCU and round-the-clock laboratory services.
• In addition, Parkview offers a host of radiology services including in-house MRI and 16-slice CT, 3D/4D ultrasound, digital mammography, nuclear medicine and echocardiography.
• The surgery department offers inpatient, outpatient and same-day surgery, utilizing three surgery suites, a 6-bed recovery area and cystoscopy/endoscopy suite.
• Rehabilitation services include inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, speech and cardiopulmonary therapies, as well as a wellness program.
• Medical staff specialties include asthma/allergy, cardiology, family medicine, general surgery, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, otolaryngology and podiatry.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
• Mexia is conveniently located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 84 and State Highways 14 and 171, 12 miles northwest of the county seat, Groesbeck, in Northeastern Limestone County.
• Now with a population of around 10,000 residents, Mexia offers the best of two worlds: the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere of small-town America with easy access to the social and cultural attractions of larger metropolitan areas.
