Expanding Hospitalist Program is in the process of hiring 4 additional Hospitalists to join the existing team of five to start in January 2009. This is a very reputable health system located about 30-45 minutes south of Columbus. The position would involve working a 7on/7off schedule of 12-hour shifts, with approximately 15 patient encounters/day. The shifts hours are 7a-7p and there is some flexibility with the actual set hours. This would be a Generalist Hospitalist opportunity with duties to include Rounding, Admitting, Discharge summaries, office notes, H&Ps and consultations. There is a team of Critical Care and Intensivists who will handle ICU, codes and procedures.
The Medical Center would like to find its candidates using a locums to permanent process. This would allow the medical center AND the provider to get a feel for one another in an assignment setting before committing to a permanent contract. This takes care of those situations where you may think you have a great job and then when you get onsite, you realize you do not like the position or the environment.
The Medical Center is fully accredited by JCAHO and is a progressive, financially secure, 238-bed regional referral center focused on the future. Facilities include Spiral CT scanner, 3 MRI, x-ray, laboratory, mammography, oncology services, linear accelerator, and 24-hour emergency department. Other services offered are newborn care, hospice, occupational health, women's services an inpatient and outpatient psychiatric services.
