Philadelphia is calling! Faculty Opportunity for a Geriatric Medicine Physician!
You'll join the Division of Geriatrics as a faculty member at a 450 bed tertiary care community teaching hospital. The Division of Geriatric Medicine includes 5 geriatricians, a geropsychiatist, one nurse practitioner and a social worker. These providers function as a closely integrated team that includes cross coverage for all services. The department specializes in geriatric primary care, consultations, and has the unique ability to follow and manage patients through assessments, inpatient hospital care at the acute care of the elderly unit, assisted living, nursing and home care facilities. They are also part of an academic Department of Medicine and a major affiliate of Temple University School of Medicine. Primary responsibilities include clinical practice including lectures, providing education and training to medical students, residents and geriatrics fellows in the hospital, outpatient settings, and in long term care. This is the type of atmosphere where you can build a lasting career!
Position requires completion of a residency and board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Prefer candidates that have completion of fellowship training and/or BE/BC in Geriatrics, but will consider candidates that have proven experience in Geriatric medicine environment. Ideally the successful candidate will also have experience in clinical teaching.
