Virginia Commonwealth University’s Division of Geriatric Medicine seeks a geriatric clinical faculty physician. VCU Health System’s geriatric services are nationally renowned and consistently recognized for excellence in patient care and exceptional approaches to healthcare delivery.

We are seeking a Geriatrician to join our multidisciplinary Geriatric team dedicated to caring for older adults across the care continuum. Our team of Geriatricians, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, Pharmacists and support staff partners with patients, families and the community to provide evidence-based care in the office, hospital, long-term care, PACE center, and at home.

The successful candidate will become a member of MCV Physicians Inc., a multi-specialty group of over 600 physicians and will join a well-established team of 9 geriatricians/12 nurse practitioners. This is an opportunity to participate in a comprehensive approach to serving older adults with an organization that has made a strong commitment to success and become one of the nation’s best in the design and delivery of services that serve adults with advanced chronic illness. If you possess leadership aptitude, we would like to discuss managerial roles. If you have an interest in Geriatric research, you may have opportunities for that here as well. Our residency and fellowship programs may offer you the ability to share your expertise with others. Three years\' experience is favorable, but not required

- PACE

Requirements include:
• Board certification (or eligibility) in Family or Internal medicine
• Board certification (or eligibility) also in Geriatrics (preferred)
• Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics (preferred)
• Fellowship training (preferred)
• Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
• DEA license required


Family friendly office hours are M-F 8:00 to 5:00 with no weekend or evening hours, offering an excellent quality of life. Practice call is very limited and over the phone.
