OPEN POSITION:
Physician – Interventional Pain Medicine
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 40 Hours per Week
- Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

COMPANY PROFILE:
This interventional pain management organization is located in the heart of Spartanburg, with a mission to ensure each and every patient is able to live their lives pain-free. They are a full-scope pain management practice, utilizing a variety of procedures, as well as chiropractic care, to help patients manage chronic conditions and pain. The practice has been in operation for more than 15 years.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Serve as an interventional pain medicine physician.
See an average of 30 patients per full day; fewer patients are seen on Fridays.
All visits are prepped by a trained clinical assistant.
Typical techniques used include epidural injections, facet injections, medial branch blocks, and radio frequency ablations, among others. The new physician must be comfortable with this type of work, with previous experience and/or training.
There are no on-call duties, nights, or weekends.
The practice utilizes the Sevocity electronic health record.
This is a very autonomous role in which the new physician will lead the medical side of the organization, with a chiropractor partner leading the chiropractic side of the practice. The two providers will work collaboratively when appropriate, with each focusing on and leading their individual areas.
The medical side of the practice is growing rapidly and a nurse practitioner will be hired to work under the new physician within 3 months of starting.
REQUIREMENTS:
- valid South Carolina medical license
- current DEA
- Board Certification or Eligibility in a relevant field required
- experience in pain management is required, with comfort/experience in specific techniques such as epidural injections, facet injections, medial branch blocks, and radio frequency ablations
