Hospitalist – East Central Mississippi
Excellent opportunity for BC/BE Hospitalist to join an existing strong program. You will be joining a well established 8 person team of seasoned internal medicine trained hospitalists. Facility is a 315 bed acute care, level II trauma center. The hospital serves an area of 150,000 people. Ability to do central lines IS A MUST! Facility has an excellent team of medical staff members to provide subspecialty backup. Inpatient service is quite busy, schedule runs 7 on / 7 off. Average patient census per provider is 18 patients. Day coverage consists of 3 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners. Night shift coverage is a single provider.
Base salary of $300K, along with RVU's for 15 shifts, with extra shifts are available if you are interested. Potential compensation is $300K+. Loan repayment and monthly stipend are available. Paid personal/vacation days, continuing education days with a generous allowance, plus relocation allowance.
This area in East Central Mississippi thrives on its unique and rich heritage along with it's traditional southern charm located in the heart of the state, this area is home to classic architecture, down home food, and a warm friendly atmosphere. Located close to Birmingham Alabama, Jackson Mississippi ,and less than 2 hours from Memphis TN. The community is located along a river for water sports and fishing. Beautiful PGA golf courses within minutes. Reasonable home costs, good public and excellent private schools, a regional airport, and one of the top 100 universities in the United States are all within reach!
