HOSPITALIST
This is a Hospital Employed opportunity . This hospital is comprised of 32 physicians and 13 mid - level providers. This is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing enhanced access to health care services for all members of the Commiunity and allowing the practice to employ providers holding Hib and JiVisas.
ExpectationsProvide high quality , inpatient consultation and acute care within the 6 bed combined medical and surgical , the 24 bed med/surg unit,and for the admissions coming from
Emergency department.Hospitalists are responsible for managing post-surgical patients who are on a ventilator and frequentlypreform pre-operative assessments for the for the attending surgeons./Communicate with hospitalist social workers,and discharge planners.
Corrdinate closely with hospital employed rad iologists,and emergency medicine physicxians to meet the needs of the patients
Full time position
12 hour shifts, approximately 15 shifts per 4 hour rotation
Average Census: 14 patients (must be able to handle vent patients)
74-Bed hospital
Salary Range: $250,000-$350,000
Patients-Community profile includes a large group of ederly patients with co-morbidities
This city is located in the Northern Part of Maine.situated on the Canadian border and the beautiful St Croix River. The surrounding community is diverse and is economically, cuturally, and socially inviting. The area offers great schools, low cost of living, and an overall outstanding environment to raise a familyOutdoor Sports are snowmobiling, cross- country skiing.camping, kayaking , fishing and more.The city boasts a regional airport which offers easy access to the major metropolitan area of Boston via a short 90 minute flight!
