PLEASE SPECIFY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE DAY OR NOCTURNIST POSITION. All physicians applying for this position MUST meet the following: 2 years of hospital experience (post training), CA licensed (not pending), and Board Certified (not Board Eligible). This group of 8 physicians and 4 mid-levels is looking for Hospitalists (FP or IM) to be employed by the group. They typically see 20-25 patients in a 12 hour time frame. There is no call. They have day and night positions available. They are both 12 hour shifts, either 7 AM - 7 PM (day position) or 7 PM - 7 AM (nocturnist position). Hospitalist's also cover the ICU for the medical groups patients only. The ability to do lines is required. This is an open ICU and not an intensivist position. Interview Process: They will call candidates within a week to conduct a phone interview and if that goes well they will request references to check, these must be checked prior to an interview. They schedule everything for the interview and physicians are reimbursed for any pre-approved expenses that they incur. If the interview is a success they give the physician a formal offer typically within a week's time. Credentialling takes about 3 months. Specific to the Day Position: The day position is M-F, 7 AM - 7 PM for 5 weeks. During the 6th week they will work a Sun - Sat week and will be on call for the nocturnist position, meaning if the regular nocturnist calls off they will be sent home to sleep and will return to cover the evening shift. They work 6 weeks on and the 7th week off. Specific to the Day Facility: - Mid sized facility - 300 employed physicians, 1400 employees and 300 volunteers - JCAHO accredited - 15,000 ED admits, 22,000 ED visits not admitted, 37,000 outpt visits, 2,000 births, 1,800 outpt surgeries and 6,000 inpt surgeries annually - 12 ICU and 17 NICU beds Specific to the Nocturnist Position: The night position consists of a 3 on - 2 off then 2 on - 3 off schedule. Specific to the Nocturnist Facility: - Smaller facility - 250 employees - JCAHO accredited - 4,000 ED admits, 11,000 ED visits not admitted, 15,000 outpt visits, 500 births, 900 outpt surgeries and 400 inpt surgeries - 6 ICU and 0 NICU beds Financial: - This is an employed position - Salary is around $180K DOE - Full benefits are offered Location: - Considered a bedroom community of Los Angeles - Less than an hour from Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Palm springs - 30 minutes to a major airport - 45 minutes to the popular vacation spot Big Bear which offers fantastic winter and summer sports in the mountains - Warm summers and mild winters - Culturally rich - Beautiful mountain views, orange groves and tree lined streets
