Locum Hospitalist Position near Washington DC
Advantage Locums is in need of a internal medicine trained physician to assist an established hospitalist group in Cheverly, MD to provide Locums Hospitalist coverage over the next 4-6 months.
• MD license
• Board Certification IM or Board Eligible (within 5 yrs of completing residency)
• 302 bed facility , Open ICU Dept. (Locum contractor will round in ICU)
• Dates of coverage needed: October ongoing
• 10-12 hour shifts, 8a-7p; 7p-8a
• Minimum shifts per month; 7-14
• Procedures Preferred: Arterial Lines, Central Lines, Intubations, Vent Management, Arthocentesis, Lumbar Puncture, Paracentesis
• No specialty backup
• Time to credential: 60-90 days
• EMR System: Cerner
• Avg. census: 35-49
• Avg. # of admissions: 6 during the night, 6-8 during day
• Physicians will be required to work night shifts as well
• Will not be required to take call
• 3 hospitalists on during the day, one on during the day.
• Hospitalist will be the 1st responder to codes
Along with the competitive hourly rate, Advantage Locums will provide travel, lodging and mal practice while on assignment.
