St. Mary’s Medical Center, located in Hobart, Indiana (approximately 40 miles south of downtown Chicago) is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Director to lead an existing hospitalist team.
*** We also need a Full-Time Hospitalist !!! (7on/7 [Register to View] Codes, No procedures, Full Sub-Specialty support, HIGHLY competitive salary package which includes base, bonus, relo and sign on.)
A 205 bed hospital, St Mary’s is part of the fantastic Community Healthcare system, northwest Indiana's largest integrated healthcare system.
This is a WONDERFUL opportunity as the role of the Medical Director is highly visible within this community based organization!
The position duties include; clinical and administrative responsibilities, relationship management, patient complaints management, staffing oversight & candidate selection, metric evaluation, committee involvement, strategic problem solving and quality improvement.
Other position duties include:
Regularly assess the needs of the program to ensure harmonious working relationships, provide leadership to physicians resulting in overall program improvement by:
•Encouraging teamwork and participation
•Assisting in any necessary face-to-face or phone interviews, recruitment, placement, counseling, and/or termination of physicians
•Orienting new providers and monitoring their ongoing compliance with policies and procedures
•Coordinating provider scheduling to ensure efficiency, continuity of care and maximum productivity

Requirements:
