Overview:
Emanuel Medical Center is a 209 bed Level IV trauma center in the heart of Turlock, CA. EMC offers an electronic patient tracking system. In-patient care has 76 hours of physician coverage. As a hospitalist you will monitor and communicate with the primary care physician. Hospitalists at this site work 10 and 14 hour shifts.
Requirements:
California Medical License
Internal or Family Medicine residency trained
ACLS certification
DEA License with California registration

Compensation:
Physicians are independent contractors and are given base rates with the opportunity to earn productivity pay at specific sites. VEP provides independent contractors with pension plan administration, flexible schedules, and paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Physicians also enjoy the benefit of becoming a stockholder which allows them to be actively involved in the governance of the company.
