Locum and Permanent Hospitalist needed in West Virginia
Locum and Permanent Hospitalist needed in West Virginia
Advantage Locums is seeking a talented Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to assist an established group in Charleston, WV. The client needs immediate coverage for their group starting in September for several months until program is fully staffed. The facility is a general medical and surgical hospital with 215 beds with approximately 9,000 annual admissions.
• Must have WV license
• IM/FM Board Certification required
• Dates of coverage needed: now
• Minimum shifts per month: at least 5-7
• Days & Nights: 7a-7p; 7p-7a
• Average daily census: 19-25
• Average # of admissions: 16
• Will not be required to take calls, there is one person answers calls during the day & night for new admissions
• 3 hospitalists on day shift, 1 night shift doc
• Average # of phone calls per night: primary admissions 3-5 for hospitalist census and covers MET and Code Blue-approx 5 per month
• Hospitalist will not be required to back-up the ED
• ICU involvement, open (but is limited)
• Hospitalist will be the 1st responder for codes
• Procedures required: EKG interpretation, Vent Management
• Time to credential estimates to be 30 days once app is complete
• Will accept IM and FP candidates, must be BC
• Charting: Recorded and EMR Siemans
• No temporary privileges
• Interested in full and part time candidates, Also interested in permanent candidates
Along with the competitive hourly rate we will provide travel, lodging and mal practice while on assignment.
