St. Mary’s Medical Center, located minutes from Chicago is seeking a full time Hospitalist. St. Mary’s is located in Hobart, Indiana (approximately 42 miles south of downtown Chicago.) A 205 bed hospital, St Mary’s is part of the Community Healthcare system, northwest Indiana's largest integrated healthcare system. St. Mary’s provides the highest quality medical care with genuine warmth and compassion for its patients and families. The hospitalist team promotes a collegial atmosphere with a vested interest in quality, service, integrity and patient care. This family oriented team is seeking a hospitalist with similar attributes, as well as community experience and teamwork competences to match the hospital’s core values.

Position duties include:
• Effectively collaborate, communicate and coordinate with all physicians and healthcare staff caring for hospitalized patients.
• Exhibit continuity of care for all patients, as well as safely transition patient care from the hospital to the community.
• Demonstrate quality and process improvement techniques, as well as maintain timely patient records.
Requirements:
• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine or other related medical discipline with an active Illinois license or ability to obtain licensure.
