• 650+ Bed academic, Research & Teaching Hospital.
• Level 1 Trauma and the 2nd busiest Emergency Department in Massachusetts.
• Nationally recognized for outstanding work in nursing critical care & innovation process.
• Baystate is heavily involved in post graduate medical education with 10 residency and 20 fellowship programs.
• Newly remodeled 96 bay emergency department and 600,000 sq ft state-of-the-art Heart/Vascular Center.
• Shifts can vary from 8am-6pm, 2pm-12am and 8pm-8am.
• Will eventually be going to a 7on 7 off schedule, but current schedule is flexible.
• Academic or Non-Academic positions are available.
• Board Certified Internal Medicine preferred will consider Board Eligible candidates.
• No Procedures required
• For night shifts the primary responsibilities will be admissions and cross covering
• Average number of admission for nights depends on the length of shift and how busy the ED is (avg is 6)
• Resident are the code responders
• There are 3 evening shifts which begin at 2p and finish at 12a, then 3 nocturnists arrive at 8pm – 8am.
