You'll work nights in a “bread and butter” hospitalist/inpatient setting. Nocturnists work on a block schedule of 7on/7off performing 6-8 admits per night and running codes with a census of 70-80/day.

Duties include:
- perform evaluations, including H&P’s, and orders at the time of admission
- provide emergency room analysis for triage, admission or discharge
- oversee and participate in daily rounds
- perform duties of patient's primary-care physician
- manage communication among doctors plus medical team, patient and their family
- coordinate care with/among Specialists
- analyze and approve any medical or surgical admissions
- provide pre-op evaluations
- provide consultations
- act as transition coordinator
- collaborate with Case Managers
- manage resources efficiently such as lab, X-ray, and hospital's formulary
- help patients navigate the hospital bureaucracy
- provide discharge summaries and referrals
- schedule patient follow-up
- support every member of hospitalist team as required
- other inpatient duties as necessary

Compensation:
In return for your training and experience, this opportunity is offering a MGMA competitive compensation package with a base salary of $230,000 and very lucrative bonus incentives (monthly productivity & quality bonus structures are easily attainable). Additionally you'll enjoy full benefits including: liability insurance with no tail requirement, health, dental, vision, disability, 401K w/match, and employee stock purchase plan. However the best benefit of this position is its location!

Community:
The greater Boston area is a wonderful blend of stylish sophistication and historic New England charm. Attend one of the area's renowned events, uncover Boston's history and culture that is just around every turn, dine in one of its yummy new restaurants (or enjoy an old favorite), shop anywhere from upscale boutiques on Newbury Street to premium outlet malls a short distance from downtown Boston... the possibilities are endless! Residents here also enjoy an extremely appealing real estate market with diverse housing choices in even more diverse neighborhoods, a vast array of public and private schools, weekly events and adventures geared for the whole family, and a city that takes public safety and its citizens' welfares as a top priority. Boston offers all this plus the Bay overlooking the majestic Atlantic Ocean. [Register to View] - could you ask for anything more?!
