Hospitalist - Physician - (Hospital Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 Hour/Day
Great location in New Jersey is looking for Hospitalist to cover May through August. This location is a 30 minute drive from Philly and is a state of the art facility. Call Staff Care to learn more about this amazing opportunity!
A hospitalist (locum tenens) is a physician that is generally Internal Medicine residency trained but can be from Family Medicine or other sub-specialty programs. They specialize in the care of patients who have been admitted into a hospital. These general medicine professionals perform a variety of roles in the hospital and, accordingly, must be familiar with the entirety of human physiology and a wide range of illnesses and medical conditions. Hospitalists complete residencies in internal medicine, much like primary care physicians. When patients arrive to the hospital, a hospitalist will take care of them, prescribing treatment as needed, before referring them to a specialist or discharging them from the facility.
Required Qualifications
Looking for a hospitalist who is comfortable with intubations and can handle 16-18 patients per day.

Mount Holly, situated in New Jersey's Burlington County, is home to a variety of historical sites. HIstory buffs will want to take a tour of the now closed Burlington County Prison as well as the Stephen Girard house, the preserved home of noted American philanthropist. Relief Fire Company No. 1 is the oldest continually operated volunteer fire company in the US. Mount Holly is home to the Greater Pinelands Dulcimer Society, which frequently puts on popular showcases of traditional music.
