Opportunity:
As the incoming Geriatric Medicine physician, you'll join a successful, respected group that is dedicated to their medical team and intent on developing close working relationships with their staff and administration. You'll work days in a SNF setting, hospital affiliated, providing “bread and butter” inpatient/geriatric medicine to elderly patients.
Responsibilities include:
- perform evaluations, including H&P’s, and orders at the time of admission
- oversee and participate in daily rounds
- perform duties of patient's primary-care physician
- manage communication among doctors plus medical team, patient and their family
- coordinate care with/among Specialists
- provide pre-op evaluations
- provide consultations;
- act as transition coordinator
- collaborate with Case Managers
- manage resources efficiently
- provide discharge summaries and referrals
- schedule patient follow-up
- support every member of the medical team as required
- other geriatric medicine duties as necessary
Compensation:
In return for your training and experience, this opportunity is offering a MGMA competitive compensation package with a base salary and very lucrative bonus incentives.
