10 Physician Program
model will require physicians to expect typical patient encounters (12 to 15 daily)
HRN will provide services Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day
The preferred candidates will fall within the following parameters:
• Preferably contemporarily trained, board certified internists (does allow FM docs)
• Additionally, the successful candidates should possess the innate ability to successfully assimilate themselves into the practice by easily interacting with staff, administration and referring physicians
Initial & continuing of care, and typical/Routine duties.
Unassigned patients admitted thru Ed + those patients w/ no community PCP
Patients of community PCP that our outreach efforts result in securing care coverage agreements
Patients whose care is transferred from a medical staff member for ongoing care
Consults as requested by sub-specialists or other members of SRMC;s medical staff
H& P on admitted patients
Daily rounding & coordinate care w/ care team (including nursing)
Follow up communication w/ PCP & specialists
Facilitate communication w/ other team members to ensure transitions of care regarding patients w/ LOS requiring the care of multiple hospitalists
Other duties related to professional hospitalist services as reasonably requested by SRMC adm & agreed upon w/ Sound Physicians

• opened to patients in 1971… typical small community hospital ………4 years later, increased demand for services led to a construction project that would double the hospital\'s size.
• In 1987, completed a 2nd major expansion & became the 1st hospital in Georgia to be smoke free. Since then, the facility has opened the Women\'s Life Center in 1991 which, to date, has delivered over 44,105 babies.
• Facility is a full-service, 331-bed hospital
• Located in southern Atlanta ……..approx 15 miles south of downtown Atlanta & just minutes south of the ATL airport
• Facility is a non -profit facility w/ a mission dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the surrounding community by blending a passion for healing with the use of advanced medical technology to deliver the best possible care to patients.
• The Hospital was 1st to offer angioplasty and cardiac catheterization services on the south side of Atlanta & is recognized as an accredited Chest Pain Center
• Additionally, it houses an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, the Georgia Orthopedic Institute + offers, minimally-invasive, robotic surgeries with the da Vinci Surgical System
• It is also home to the Women\'s Life Center for expectant mothers offering the area\'s top NICU & offers a full ranges of services from high-risk deliveries to routine mammograms – since being established in 1991, have delivered over 44K babies.
• A second campus at Spivey Station in Jonesboro, Ga. specializes in OB/GYN, breast care, primary care and internal medicine, oncology and more.
