Facility in Bangor, ME area is looking for hospitalists to assist. Initially this will be handling inpatients and rotating call and weekends. This will quickly move into a more traditional 7 on-7 off role once the program reaches 6 FTE. This will involve 2 day time and 1 evening physician coverage, rotating the nights every third scheduled week.
Responsibilities:
•H& P on admitted patients
•Daily rounding & coordinate care w/ care team (including nursing)
•Follow up communication w/ PCP & specialists
•Facilitate communication w/ other team members to ensure transitions of care regarding patients w/ LOS requiring the care of multiple hospitalists
•Other duties related to professional hospitalist services as reasonably requested by SMRC adm & agreed upon w/ Sound Physicians
•Have good intensivist pgm (in-house during the day & available via call 2 night)
•No procedural req – done by surgeons & PUD
•ED physicians will run codes
