This hospital is a 125 bed facility with a 12 bed ICU. It is a beautiful location and the Medical Center is a beautiful location and working environment.
The Hospitalists must be able to perform and interpret cardiac stress tests, as well as respond and participate in codes.
BC or BE IM, Board Certification is not required but preferred.
An active and unrestricted TX license is required.
Hospitalists will be managing patients in the ICU.
Back-up will be available through the hospital departments Acute Rehab Services, an Ambulatory Surgery Center, Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Radiology, Cardiopulmonary care, Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology, a busy ED, ICU and Intermediate Care (IMC) units, Outpatient Rehab Services, Surgical Services, and Women’s Services just to name a few.
There is an incredibly efficient nursing staff to assist as well.
This site will follow 7on/7off day and night shifts (24hr in house coverage), with a starting census of 12-15 patients each day. We will have a team of 6 full time physicians, with 2 on the days and one on nights.
The doctors must be BLS/ACLS certified.
The Emergency Department Physician is the primary responder to codes. Our doctors will attend codes and assume care as clinically appropriate and as transitioned between the physicians.
Pulmonolgy consultation is available in house daily (for about 5 hours) and there is an e-ICU Pulmonologist available for consultation at all times.
