Now seeking BC/BE IM/FM HOSPITALISTS for part time, locum, locum-to-perm, moonlighting/PRN, full time opportunities in Springfield , MA at Baystate Medical Center! Temp privileges may be available!
Details include, but are not limited to:
1. Number of beds in hospital: 650 beds
2. Number of ICU beds: 24 beds
3. Open or Closed ICU: closed
4. Patient Census.
a. Day: 16-18 pt’s
b. Night: approx. 8
5. Number of admissions (on average/daily)
a. Day: 1 for rounders, and 7-10 for day admitters
b. Swing: 7-9
c. Night: 7-9
6. Shift Schedule
a. AM: M-F 7a-7p; Sat-Sun 7a-5p
b. MID: 12a-12a
c. PM: 8p-8a
7. Number of day teams: 25
8. Number of night teams: 6
9. Other teams? Swing shift 3-4, day admitter 1 md 1 np
10. Call involvement? no
11. Any specialty backup? Yes
a. If yes, what type and when? We all types of specialties as we are tertiary academic teaching medical center
12. Procedures required?
If so, which ones? n/a
13. Running codes required? No
14. Who runs the codes? RRT
15. On Rapid Response team? Yes
16. EMR System? Yes, Cerner
17. Will you take FP-trained physicians? Depends/Negotiable
18. How long does it take to credential? 90 days
19. Can you offer temp privileges? Yes
20. Any other items you would like to note? Very collegial group with strong support services within the hospital (nursing, pharmacy, etc)
