Hospitalist - Pediatrics - Physician - (Hospitalist - Peds) Locum Tenens
Located in a beautiful river valley south of twin cities
Pediatric Hospitalist
BC Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine
o NRP Certification &PALS Certification
o 8-10PPD
o Trauma Level III
o 24 hour shifts 8A-8A
o 8 Ped Beds
o 120 Bed Hospital
o 1550 Delivers Per Year
o Newborn 8-10 day (Average)
o No PICU,or NICU
o Level II nursery
o No PICU but unit care for higher level of care than many
o Requirements:
o NRP certification
o PALS certification
o Attending deliveries and high risk C-sections
o Endotracheal intubation
o Short term routine mechanical ventilation
o Insertion of umbilical venous catheter
o Lumbar puncture
o Nasal CPAP
o Chest tube placement
o Circumcisions
o Insertion of umbilical catheter
A pediatric hospitalist(locum tenens) is a physician who works with children in inpatient or hospital settings. They offer care to children in multiple departments, including: labor and delivery, intensive care, the pediatric ward, and newborn nursery. A pediatric hospitalist work with regular pediatricians and other physicians involved in a child's care, to ensure the most efficient and effective treatment plan available. A pediatric hospitalist provides treatment in the areas of illness, injury, surgery, and newborn care.
