Hospitalist - Physician - (Hospital Medicine) Locum Tenens
Hospital seeking Board Certified/Eligible Hospitalist in Oxnard, CA who can provide ongoing coverage starting in April. The schedule is 5 on / 5off, 7 on / 7 off and block scheduling. The shifts are 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, 12:00 pm - 12:00 am. Eight shifts minimum per month. Call Staff Care today for more details!
A hospitalist (locum tenens) is a physician that is generally Internal Medicine residency trained but can be from Family Medicine or other sub-specialty programs. They specialize in the care of patients who have been admitted into a hospital. These general medicine professionals perform a variety of roles in the hospital and, accordingly, must be familiar with the entirety of human physiology and a wide range of illnesses and medical conditions. Hospitalists complete residencies in internal medicine, much like primary care physicians. When patients arrive to the hospital, a hospitalist will take care of them, prescribing treatment as needed, before referring them to a specialist or discharging them from the facility.
Required Qualifications
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Internal Medicine Only.
