The Medicus Firm, a national search firm specializing in physician recruitment and retention, has been retained by The University of Mississippi Medical Center to identify a Physician to lead the Urogynecology Division for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, located in Jackson, MS. The selected candidate will help lead their strategic initiative to provide structure and a foundation for continued growth of Urogynecologic service to meet the state-wide needs in Mississippi.
- The selected candidate will report to James Shwayder, MD, Chairman for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and have the opportunity to lead the only university based program in the state of Mississippi.
- The selected candidate will have the opportunity to mentor a young faculty member in our Urogynecology Division, with the goals of directing practice growth and developing outreach protocols and referral networks through the utilization of telemedicine to better serve the need in Mississippi and grow our service line.
- Historically the Urogynecology Division at UMMC supported up to three full-time physicians and attrition is driving our current need for a quality leader with a vision to take our program to next level with full administrative support.
- As the sole University Medical Center in the state, The University of Mississippi benefits include: excellent state support, tremendous referral opportunities and the opportunity to work with high acuity, unique patients from all over the region.
