Historic Charleston is only 90 miles away. The area offers a quality educational system and a very "family friendly" atmosphere. If you enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, then you'll certainly like living along the coast of South Carolina. There are 100+ quality golf courses, 60 miles of public beaches, a minor league baseball team, gardens, state parks, the largest mall in the state and much more. Residents enjoy boating, fishing, diving, kayaking, hiking, running, and shopping. There's plenty of cultural activities, too. A number of concerts and Broadway shows come to the area. Best of all, the area enjoys temperate weather nearly year-round, so you can enjoy many of these activities 12 months of the year!
