Gastroenterologist - Physician - (Gastroenterology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board-certified or eligible Gastroenterologist to provide coverage as soon as credentialed for 1 year. *Any state license. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. No call.
Preventive healthcare. Provide initial diagnosis of allergic & immunologic disease & ongoing treatment of uncomplicated cases. Diagnosis of cardiac diseases, dermatologic diseases, endocrine & metabolic diseases, gastrointestinal, hepatic, infectious disease, neuropsychiatric disease, pulmonary disease, rheumatologic disease, hypertension, diabetes, ischemic heart disease, congestive heart failure, & chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, using clinical practice guidelines. Consultation & referral for consultation of cardio-thoracic surgery, general surgery, neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics/podiatry, otolaryngology, plastic surgery, urology, & vascular. Bladder catheterization, electrocardiography. Must have BLS and ACLS.
Gastroenterologists(locum tenens) are physicians who have specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of medical issues associated with the digestive track, including organs such as the esophagus, stomach, liver, intestines and pancreas. These physicians treat conditions such as acid reflux disease, hemorrhoids, ulcers, IBS, hernias and hepatitis, among many other others. Gastroenterologists are well versed in knowledge pertaining to the movement of food through the body and receive extensive training in endoscopic procedures and imaging.
