Job Description: Clinical and/or Academic golden opportunity for a General Gastroenterologist
with a special interest in pancreatico-biliary interventional work, EUS, ERCP, liver diseases and hepatology


•Be a part of the largest downstate Academic Medical Center. Fourteen residencies and Five
Fellowship programs are located at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center from the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria.

•With the support of employed Hospitalists, OSF Medical Group and Medical Center support
Systems and the Call Center, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois is a significant Referral Center, serving 17 counties and a population of over 1,000,000.

•The highest quality exams are possible with our completely new GI Lab equipment, equipped
with the Olympus 180 High Definition equipment / Evis Exere II Equipment. As a market leader, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center will continue to be a state of the art, equipped GI lab with the latest Olympus HD technology. The equipment offers HDTV, Narrow Band Imaging, Electronic Magnification and a wide-angle 170 degree field of view.

•Call is 1:4 with Monday through Friday office hours.

•A Gastroenterology fellowship with board certification in IM and GI is desired. A newly
Trained physician will also be considered with the stipulation that board certifications are achieved within a few years for continued employment.

•OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, licensed for 616 beds and with a medical staff of more
than 800 physicians, is the fourth largest medical center in the state of Illinois and the flagship medical center for one of the largest Catholic healthcare systems in the United States. OSF Saint Francis Medical Center is the area’s only Level 1 Trauma Center.

•This opportunity offers a very competitive base salary commensurate with experience plus
