The University of Tennessee Regional One Physicians is seeking a board certified Gastroenterologist for a faculty position. You will bring your academic experience to this role offering 100% Gastroenterology in a busy department based at Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Look forward to teaching outstanding residents and fellows along with time each week for educational meetings and administrative work. Hepatology skills would be a plus. Academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications. Enjoy generous compensation and benefits as you make your career with the University of Tennessee. The University of Tennessee is an EEO/AA/Title VI/Title IX/Section 504/ADA/ADEA institution in the provision of its education and employment programs and services.

Memphis is located on the east bluffs of the Mississippi River, midway between New Orleans and St. Louis. Memphis' urban "rebirth" centers on the waterfront with the conversion of historic buildings into charming restaurants, housing, and more. You'll enjoy a reasonable cost of living, no state income tax, and diverse housing options ranging from the character-rich area of Mud Island to a country-like setting - both of which are just a short commute from the medical center.

As the headquarters for companies such as FedEx, International Paper, AutoZone, Fred's Inc., Buckman Laboratories International Inc., First Horizon National Corporation, and ServiceMaster spouse employment needs can often be satisfied. The area offers diverse public and private school options for children of all ages.

Recreational opportunities in the city are also varied. Residents enjoy running and walking on riverfront paths, water skiing and boating on nearby lakes or canoeing, camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting in the state parks of Tennessee and Arkansas. The Ozark Mountains and Gulf Coast beaches are within driving distance and an international airport makes trips further afield very convenient too. There is truly something to suit every lifestyle in Memphis!
