Duties: The duties will include assisting Veterans as the Lead Physician at our new clinic located in Campbell County Tennessee, in the town of Lafollette. We are seeking an immediate fill forfull-time Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to serve at the VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located inLafollette, Tennessee. The Physician reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer, Primary Care and Community Medicine clinic, located in Knoxville,Tennessee.The Physicianis charged with providingoutpatient-only primary care for eligible Veterans in the area. The required skill set includes current Primary Care clinical proficiency, willingness and ability to encourage teamwork, implement new initiatives and maintain high standards of performance. A broad working knowledge of and experience with VA policies and procedures is desirable, but not mandatory. VA Primary Care Providers are responsible for coordinating all aspects of the patients' care, making referrals to specialists, ordering procedures, ordering and monitoring all medications plus handling all their patients' acute needs. Work Schedule: Generally administrative-type hours, 7:45 amto 4:30 pm, Monday thru Friday (some clinic hours may be extended as needed) Salary: Applicant's education and length of practice (experience) will be considered by a Physician Compensation Panel in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected Relocation Expenses: Relocation expensesmay beauthorized for this position.
