Family Practice Physician - (PCP - FP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 03/23/2015Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day

The Army needs a family practice physician for services at Ft. Riley, KS. The provider can be either board certified or board eligible, but must have 1 year of inpatient experience (residency counts) in the last 3 years. The provider will need to have 2 years of clinical experience in the last 6.
The provider will be asked to have a current BLS, PALS, and DEA. The provider will be working in an out-patient setting seeing all ages. Work schedule will be Monday thru Friday from 730-430pm. There is an average of 1 week of call every 3 weeks, with some call back possible.
This need is for one year and interested providers need to be willing to commit to at least 6 months of services.

Family practice physicians(locum tenens) are usually the first point of contact for people seeking medical care. These doctors must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions, ranging from broken bones to more exotic illnesses. Family physicians often care for families across generations and are an integral part of many people's lives. In cases where more specialized medical care is needed, a family practice physician will refer their patient to another physician for more focused care.
