Family Practice Physician - (PCP - FP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Eligible or Board Certified Family Practice physician needed for a job opportunity in New York starting in August. This assignment offers a Full-Time 40hr work week schedule. The provider must be well-versed in a primary care setting
Family practice physicians(locum tenens) are usually the first point of contact for people seeking medical care. These doctors must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions, ranging from broken bones to more exotic illnesses. Family physicians often care for families across generations and are an integral part of many people's lives. In cases where more specialized medical care is needed, a family practice physician will refer their patient to another physician for more focused care.
Required Qualifications
NY licensed Family Practice physician needed 08/11 - Ongoing (Can start sooner!). SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri: 9a-5p. No call. Also may be required to cover 1 x evening shift per week (11a-7p or 10a-6p). The locum physician will provide care seeing homeless patients referred over from the shelters at 2 main clinic locations 4 x days a week then will be asked to be available to cover at any of their 13 sites on the 5th day of the week (All within close distance). Type of Patients seen: Adults, Adolescents, PEDS, and 10% Newborns.14-18ppd. Support staff: 1 x MA, and Social Services. Typical Cases seen: Sick & Well visits, Diabetes, Hypertension, depression, physicals, and follow up visits. EMR Charting: Eclinical Works (Will Train)
