Description:

-Location: Austin, TX area

-Specialty Requested: FP – Strongly preferred and must have recent, solid Urgent Care experience within the last 18 months.

-Other Acceptable Specialties: May consider IM / GP

-Reason For Opening: Coverage Needed

-Start Date: 20-May

-End Date: June 30 (possibly extend to July)

-Minimum Length of Coverage: 3-5 shifts a month

-Type of Clinic (MSG, SSG, Solo, CH): Urgent Care outpatient clinic

Schedule: *The locums physician must complete 2 days of paid training (1 day 8:30a - 7:00p and the next day 8:30a - 9:00p) before working their first shift. The locums physician needs to be flexible regarding the location where they work in the Austin area as this may change. There are 7 separate clinic locations.

-Patient Volume: 3 -4 patients per hour... and will be an extra set of hands treating coughs, colds, flu, fever etc. for patients 1 yr. old and up. They will be working with another physician, Rad Techs and MA’s.

-Patient Ages: Ages 1+

-IP/OP: 100% OP / UC

-Call: Non

-Support Staff: Yes

-Responsibilities (ICU, Vents, OB, etc): "Reading X-rays, Casting, Interpreting EKGs

-Perform Stapling, Suturing, Splinting, Dermabond Closure, Incisions and Drainage, Toenail removal, etc, Typing progress notes, Utilizing AED

-Charting/Dictation: E Clinical Works

-BC/BE Requirement: Prefer BC, will consider BE

-Travel/Lodging? Prefer local FP. Will consider travel & lodging.

-DEA / CSR Requirements: Yes

-Certification Requirements: BLS, CPR
