Family Practice Physician - (PCP - FP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Eligible or Board Certified Family Practice physician needed in an Central New York outpatient clinic for an assignment starting in October. This job opportunity that offers a Full-Time 40 hour work week schedule. The provider must speak at a minimum Medical Spanish and well-versed in a primary care setting.
Family practice physicians(locum tenens) are usually the first point of contact for people seeking medical care. These doctors must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions, ranging from broken bones to more exotic illnesses. Family physicians often care for families across generations and are an integral part of many people's lives. In cases where more specialized medical care is needed, a family practice physician will refer their patient to another physician for more focused care.
Required Qualifications
Community Health Center looking for a Family Practice physician starting in October - ongoing. Support Staff: 1 x FP physician and several NP/PA's working at this site. This is a new clinic, so patient volume will be slow at first, but will grow as they get busier, 10 ppd initially, expected to grow to 20-22 ppd. SPANISH SPEAKING candidates required. 2/3 of patient population is children and young adults. 60% are scheduled, 40% will be walk- ins. EMR experience is preferred, client is using eClinicalWorks.
