Family Practice Physician in Cedarville CA
‘..SNF with 22 beds, 4 acute beds, ED, and RHC. Our volume is low; the clinic has around 300 patients per month, the ED averages 30 per month. Our current physicians work two-week shifts, covering the clinic for 32 hours per week (M-Thu 0800-1700 0800-1700) and covering the ED (on call) nights and weekends******EMERGENCY ROOM COVERAGE PREFERRED AND A BENEFIT*** Surprise Valley Health Care District consists of several hospitals and clinics. We are located in Cedarville, California in Modoc County. We serve four small towns: Cedarville, Lake City, Eagleville and Ft. Bidwell as well as providing care to residents who live throughout the District. We also serve two Native American groups in Surprise Valley. We also see patients from all over the region who choose to make the trip over Cedar Pass because of our knowledgeable and caring physicians and staff. Our hospital has 26 beds - 22 skilled nursing beds, 4acute beds, 3 of which are designated swing beds. We also have an emergency room with a physician on stand-by 24 hours a day. If necessary, critical patients are first stabilized and then transfered to tertiary facilities in the region. We also maintain a volunteer BLS ambulance service which serves an extended area of 3700 square miles in remote Northeastern California, NW Nevada, and Southern Oregon. Several of our staff have trained and become EMT's. They volunteer their time to supply the citizens of Surprise Valley with 24 hour ambulance service. Lab and X-ray services are available from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday for outpatient services. For emergencies, there is staff on call to cover these services 24 hours a day. Although we do not have a pharmacy for patients to fill their prescriptions at the hospital, the RiteAid Pharmacy in Alturas Ca. 25 miles west of Cedarville makes deliveries to the community Monday, Wednesday and Friday by patient request..’
