Client is looking for a Family Practice physician to join the clinic. Candidate must meet VA standards for employment including citizenship or proper Authorization to work in the U.S., proficiency in written/spoken English. Be board certified or board eligible in Family Practice shortly after appointment, possess and maintain ANY current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a State, Territory or commonwealth of the U.S., be able to obtain an Alaska state license, pass a pre-employment medical examination and must remain up-do-date with the latest medical treatments and procedures via CME. Reports to the Chief of Staff for clinical practice and other professional responsibilities. Physicians will work full-time, 40 hours per week and be available for additional hours if needed. The physician in Primary Care Services is an independent care provider who is highly skilled in the management of a patients primary care needs or subspecialty evaluation and treatment. The Outpatient Clinic places great emphasis on the delivery and continuity of care. A Team Practice model has been developed with each patient identified and placed with a primary care provider and on an outpatient team. The team will be responsible for the longitudinal management of the patient. The Team Practice model will be patient-centered and interdisciplinary in nature. The physician provides age-specific care for young adults (20-40 years), middle adults (40-65 years), older adults (65-74 years) and geriatric (over 75 years). Salary range is $145,000 to $180,000, depending on VA experience. This salary consists of base pay, locality adjustment, 25% tax free COLA adjustment. Pay for performance bonus of 7.5% of base salary is available; malpractice paid for; 10 Holidays with additional 26 days PTO (5+ weeks!); health insurance coverage for self and family, portable when retirement eligible!
