Family Practice Physician - (PCP - FP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
The Indian Health service in Oklahoma is in need of a Family Practice Physician or an Internal Medicine Physician for their clinic. The outpatient clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm and averages 15 to 20 patients per day for each provider. The need is immediate and is expected to continue for a minimum of 6 months. Any State license is accepted. Located just 60 miles West of Oklahoma City, the opportunity is great for those who prefer a rural setting but still close enough to all the amenities a big city can offer.
Family practice physicians(locum tenens) are usually the first point of contact for people seeking medical care. These doctors must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions, ranging from broken bones to more exotic illnesses. Family physicians often care for families across generations and are an integral part of many people's lives. In cases where more specialized medical care is needed, a family practice physician will refer their patient to another physician for more focused care.
Required Qualifications
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible
Must have BLS, ACLS, DEA prior to start
Must be comfortable with EMR's
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer previous Indian Health experience
