• OSF Saint Paul Medical Center is seeking a family practice physician to provide medical services to the patients of a well-established practice. This is an employed opportunity in rural central Illinois with a service area of 22,000 at a 3 year old state-of-the-art facility.
• This is a designated underserved area by US Dept. of Health & Human Service as shortage area and we have applied for Rural Health Clinic status.
• The integration of Mendota Community Hospital into OSF Healthcare System is expected in the spring of 2015.
• OSF Saint Paul Medical Center currently has family practice physicians sharing weekend rotation.
• Family practice physicians will be readily accessible for candidate’s questions. This is a cooperative search on the part of the hospital and medical staff members. There are currently 12 active staff physicians.
• Orthopaedic, Gynecology & General Surgeon physicians are part of MCH Medical Group.
• Radiologist and Pathologist physicians are on medical staff & specialty physicians are available in the areas of Cardiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Oncology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology and Urology and come to the hospital for clinics on a consistent schedule to enhance the family practice ability to seek consultations.
• A competitive benefit package and salary is available for employed physicians.
• OSF Saint Paul Medical Center is a Critical Access Hospital, licensed at 25 beds with ICU. The Emergency Department is staffed with 24/7 board certified emergency medicine physicians.
• Patient care services can be provided by the clinical departments of Cardiopulmonary, Same-Day Surgery, Laboratory, Diagnostic Imaging (CT, MRI, Nuclear Imaging), Rehabilitation Services, Home Health and Bridge to Home (Swing Bed).
• Mendota, Illinois is located in northern LaSalle County, just 55 miles south of Rockford and 90 miles west of Chicago. We are just 3 miles off Interstate 39 and 13 miles north of Interstate 80. The cities of Bloomington, Rock Island and Peoria are a little over an hour away. Mendota area residents enjoy the everyday quiet atmosphere of a small community yet are within driving distance to major metropolitan areas
