OUT-PATIENT CLINIC IN EUGENE SEEKING FULL-TIME OR LOCUM-TO-PERM FAMILY PRACTIIONER. Sign-on bonus and relocation offered.

In general, they have no “requirement” for numbers of patients. They are an independent practice and their goal is to hire physicians for 1-2 years as employees, with the intention of having them become partners. They offer a guaranteed salary for the first two years or until they are partner. Their model is really based on production after that, so the more they do, the more they make. Most of their physicians average about 20-25 patients per day, 4 days per week. Based on those numbers, their physicians have typically earned between $225,000 and $310,000 per year as partners.
2. There are 10 providers (7 physicians, 3 PAs). After-hours call is shared by everyone, so it’s currently about 3 days per month each. The more providers there are, the less call. They are open until 8:00 p.m. each evening, so call does not begin until after that is is rarely very difficult.
3. Providers are allowed a lot of latitude about length of visits. Typically, a new physician will want longer visits as they learn the EHR and have a heavy load of new patients. When they are ready and at their request, they shorten their visit times. A typical scenario for a seasoned physician would be to have ½ hour for physicals and 15 minutes for acute visits (URIs, med checks, etc.).
Eugene is the second largest metropolitan area in Oregon. It is the home of the University of Oregon and historic Hayward Field, site of the 2008 and 2012 US Olympic Track and Field Trials. Eugene is located in the southern Willamette River valley and enjoys a moderate climate. The beautiful Oregon coast is about one hour to their west and the Cascade Mountains are one hour to the east offering an abundance of choices for the outdoor enthusiast.

The main points to make about our practice is that the typical physician in this practice works 4 days a week, does no hospital work, and makes more than the median family physician. We are interested in physicians who want to become a partner, generally about two years after starting practice with us. We are very innovative and leaders in our community and state.
