Family Practice Physician - (PCP - FP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Practice physicians needed for a job opportunity coming up in western New York starting in February 2014. This assignment offers a full-time schedule no call. The provider must be well-versed in a Primary Care setting.
Family practice physicians(locum tenens) are usually the first point of contact for people seeking medical care. These doctors must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions, ranging from broken bones to more exotic illnesses. Family physicians often care for families across generations and are an integral part of many people's lives. In cases where more specialized medical care is needed, a family practice physician will refer their patient to another physician for more focused care.
Required Qualifications
NY licensed Family Practice physician needed 02/03/2014 - ongoing. SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri: 8a-5p, May need to do 1 night per week 12p-8p, and 2 Saturdays a month 8a-12p.Type of Patients seen: Adult, Adolescents, PEDS, and 5% Newborns - 2 patients per hour & 85% scheduled. Typical Cases seen: physicals, diabetes, follow ups, and sick & well visits. Support Staff: IM doc, FP doc, LPN, and MA. EMR charting: Eclinical Works (client will train)
