Family Practice Physician - (PCP - FP) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Board Eligible / Board Certified - Family Practice or Internal Medicine physician needed in a Home Health Care Facility in Connecticut for a part-time opportunity starting in March ongoing. This opportunity offers Mon, Tues, and Thurs 8hr days (Client Flexible). The provider must be well-versed in a primary care outpatient setting, and comfortable supervising Home Health RN's and NP's. Family practice physicians(locum tenens) are usually the first point of contact for people seeking medical care. These doctors must be able to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions, ranging from broken bones to more exotic illnesses. Family physicians often care for families across generations and are an integral part of many people's lives. In cases where more specialized medical care is needed, a family practice physician will refer their patient to another physician for more focused care.
Required Qualifications
Internal Medicine or Family Practice physicians needed for a supervising role reviewing and signing off on health assessments for the clients RN and Nurse Practitioner staff. BE/BC, DEA certifications required. Supervising RN's & NP's that work in a field based position completing health assessments for individuals in their homes, and in a Skilled Nursing Facility. Visits take usually 1.5 hours to complete and included a brief physical and comprehensive history.
Preferred Qualifications
The client prefers a Physician that is comfortable performing health assessments as a backup option should he/she be asked to fill in incase there is overflow.
