UW Health Partners Watertown Regional Medical Center (WRMC) is looking for a family practice physician who shares our mission to Inspire all of those we heal, to Guide each of our patients and families on a lifestyle path which emphases nutritious diet, exercise and stress management, and to Transform lives by helping each patient to achieve his or her ideal state of wellness.

This is an exciting opportunity for a progressive family medicine practitioner looking to join an established, growing physician practice while enjoying hospitalist and specialty support from WRMC:
• The American Family Children’s Hospital at WRMC, a dedicated floor of the hospital provides a specialized child and family inpatient unit, day treatment center and safety store.
• Building expansion to house a new Emergency Room and Women’s Health hospital unit to be completed in early 2014.
• Innovative Wellness preprogramming guides lifestyle transformations through fitness, nutrition and stress management. State-of-the-art fitness and mind/body center provides inspiration for the community and employees.
• Eight-time recognized Most Wired Hospital maximizes technology to enhance patient safety and health status.
This medical practice is currently being transformed into a primary and specialty care group practice which will serve three smaller communities within a 15 mile radius of the hospital campus.
WRMC is a non-profit, regional health system with 100-bed Watertown Regional Medical Center as its cornerstone. While independent, this health system enjoys a clinical affiliation with UW-Health which provides local access to the academic medical center's specialty programs, research and academic functions. WRMC has grown considerably over the last decade, developing a regional reach through comprehensive programs of excellence in women's health, bone and joint health and heart and vascular care. Our network of clinics in Watertown, Juneau, Lake Mills, Johnson Creek, Ixonia, and Waterloo provide primary and specialty care in settings convenient for busy families.

Full Time Family Practice or IM w/ Peds Physician

BE or BC required: Yes, BE with BC within 5 years
Required/Desired skills or office/surgical procedures: Lesion removal, mole removal, suturing and removal, vasectomies (desired), colposcopies (desired), joint and tendon injections, IUDs, toe nail removal, casting and splinting, patients age 0-100+, full family practice scope

Other services provided at these locations: LM – Physical Therapy, Podiotry, Mental Health Counseling, OB/Gyn. JC – Ortho and UW Specialty providers in same space. Waterloo – Ortho, OB/Gyn and Physical Therapy at other location in Waterloo.

What equipment is available to perform critical patient care functions?

EKG, simple x-rays read by radiologist at hospital, CLIA waived testing, AED,



Daily volume of current provider (new patients vs. existing patients)?

225 per month with approximately 8 new patients per month, this will likely change due to not having hospital work.

Physician Expectations:

Clinic Hours: Varies by location, as early as 7 am and as late as 7 pm

Surgical Hours and Day (if applicable): NA

Evenings: One evening clinic per week

Weekends: Not at this time

Days per week: M-F

Other Information: Provider is expected to have 32 hours or 36 hours in clinic per week depending on whether or not they provide inpatient services

Census: Average 16-20 Nursing Home Residents

Other Information: WRMC has 24/7 Hospitalist coverage; Inpatient rounding is an option. Hospice is also an option.

Financial Package:

Compensation:
Income Guarantee (Dollars and length): $192,000 for two years

Production Incentives (RVU’s): ??? Currently under review. Future will likely be a composite of RVU, quality scores, and panel size.

Total financial caps: Not to exceed 125% of the 90th percentile for the Midwest geographic area salary for Physician’s specialty, as published in the most recent MGMA survey(or its equivalent in the event that such survey is not available from MGMA)


Maximum CME allowance (days and Dollars): CME days are included in PTO allowance; $3,000 per calendar year.

Vacation/PTO: 36 days per year PTO upon hire and at each anniversary; no rollover

Student Loan Assistance: Available

Relocation Assistance: Available
