Family Medicine Physician Needed in Central Iowa

Deer Creek Health Center Clinic in Toledo, Iowa (Outreach Clinic of Grinnell Regional Medical Center; Grinnell, Iowa) is seeking a full time, BC/BE FM Physician.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
• Great opportunity to practice Family Medicine in a rural health clinic only 25 miles from Grinnell.
• Join a busy family medicine practice that includes one mid-level provider.
• Experienced or new physician who is board certified or eligible in family medicine
• Candidate will live in or immediately nearby the clinic community and will be engaged in the community.
• Competitive compensation package that includes:
o Base salary dependent upon experience

o Time off: 30 paid days total that includes vacation, holidays, sick days, and CME days

• Clinic hours: Monday through Friday, day time hours
• Number of patients seen per day is physician driven
• Allscripts EMR system
• Call schedule: in family practice rotation
• Local specialties available at GRMC for consult include the following: general surgery, urology, internal medicine, pathology, radiology, OB/GYN, ortho, pain management, mental health, occupational medicine, wound care, 24/7 ER, anesthesia team consisting of one MD, and 2 CRNAs
• Visiting specialty physician clinics at GRMC for: cardiology, neurology, dermatology, ENT, oncology, perinatology, sleep medicine, physiatry, along with audiology
• Visiting specialties at clinic location: physical therapy, occupational therapy, orthopedics, podiatry.
• Dental services on-site

ABOUT THE FACILITIES
DEER CREEK HEALTH CENTER
• Deer Creek Health Center has been labeled a new model for rural healthcare. Patients have greater access to services, physicians, and specialists at this one-of-a-kind healthcare facility, including physical and occupational therapy, dental care, hearing aid services, and other important diagnostic screenings and services in Toledo.
• Services offered through Deer Creek Family Care include general medicine, women’s health, health promotion, health screenings for adults, and preventive healthcare.
• Deer Creek Family Care houses a laboratory for routine lab tests and a radiology suite for x-ray services that assist healthcare providers in diagnosing healthcare concerns. A procedural room is also located in the facility to accommodate medical conditions that require a large work area, such as stitching lacerations, taking EKGs, and setting broken bones.

GRINNELL REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER
• Grinnell Regional Medical Center (GRMC) is a 49-bed hospital with about 40 physicians in 12 different specialties, including anesthesiology; emergency medicine; family practice; general surgery; internal medicine; orthopedic surgery; pain medicine; pathology; podiatry; psychiatry; radiology; and urology. With six affiliated family clinics in a six-county area, GRMC serves about 40,000 people.
• Affiliated outreach clinics include Brooklyn Medical Clinic, Montezuma Medical Clinic, Lynnville Medical Clinic, Deer Creek Heath Center (in Tama/Toledo), and Victor Health Center.
• In addition, Postels Community Health Park, located in downtown Grinnell, houses GRMC’s integrated medicine therapies, physical therapy, dialysis, and a chiropractic clinic. The Light Center for Community Health houses the Community Care Clinic for uninsured and underinsured residents as well as home health and public health. Postels Community Health Park, downtown, offers group exercise programs, to complement the GRMC Wellness Services program.
• Grinnell Regional Medical Center enjoys the exclusivity of being a top rural medical center in the greater Poweshiek County area. The medical center includes around 40 physicians, more than 425 employees, and 200 volunteers.

ABOUT THE COMMUNITY
