Endocrinology – Kentucky
A truly wonderful position for a BC / BE Endocrinologist. This position is hospital employed and is a great opportunity for a physician who is interested in expanding a established practice. Current staffing includes one other physician. This health care system provides technology and services that rival what is available at hospitals in larger cities. Currently, they are the only hospital in Kentucky that can boast of having four Gold Seals of Excellence from The Joint Commission. The Emergency Department is designated as a Trauma Center. Just this year, they expanded their facilities to include a cancer center. The medical staff consists of approximately 120 physicians who provide excellent patient care, serving approximately 120,000 residents in a six-county service area. Call will be Consult Call only . This Facility utilizes Hospitalists 24/7.
A base salary in the range of $275K. This is along with incentives; sign on bonus, loan repayment, and malpractice coverage. Relocation allowance is also included! Additional perks from this position include; 4 weeks paid vacation, plus paid traditional holidays off; loan repayment, 401(K), and /or 403(B) programs are available.
This area of Kentucky thrives on its unique and rich heritage along with its traditional Victorian charm the city is located approximately 35 miles from Lexington and 75 miles from Louisville although one does not need to travel frequently for extracurricular activities. Danville has many opportunities for enjoying leisure time, to include shopping, restaurants and a lively Community Arts Center, in addition to the programming provided by Centre College’s Norton Center for the Arts. Reasonable home costs, good public and excellent private schools, a regional/international airport located close by, and one of the top 100 small state universities in the United States are all within reach!
