Leadership Opportunity as Medical Director for our Emergency Medicine team at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. This 261-bed, Level II trauma center supports a 40-bed ED that sees an annual patient volume of 52,000 and provides 48 hours of physician coverage with 30 hours of APC coverage daily. Outstanding subspecialty backup and a full-time in-house trauma team is provided at this new, cutting-edge and state-of-the-art ED, which also has a fully implemented scribe program and is a Mayo Clinic Care Network member. In 2012, the hospital received the honorary title of National of Choice Emeritus and has been named a National Hospital of the Year. Modern Healthcare ranked this hospital as 1st in Kentucky and 7th in the nation on its 2010 Best Places to Work.
