Overview:
Western Medical Center Santa Ana (WMCSA) is a 326 bed Level II Trauma Center. WMCSA treats approximately 23,000 patients annually. The department has 16 beds, along with a Fast Track area. WMCSA has electronic patient tracking, PACs radiology system, and bedside ultrasound. The ED has 29 hours of physician coverage and 8 hours of Allied Health Provider (AHP) coverage daily. Here are some facts about WMCSA:
* 9 & 12 hour shifts
* On call services: FM/IM, Peds, OB/GYN, Surgery, Ortho, ICU, Cardiology, NICU, neurosurgery
* Excellent ED Nurses, Techs, and ancillary staff
* Adult Hospitalist program
Requirements:
* California Medical License
* Emergency Medicine residency trained
* Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS
* DEA License with California registration
About the Community:
WMCSA is located in the heart of Orange County. Ocean beaches are nearby, along with Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Cheer on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim or the Anaheim Ducks; or take advantage of tremendous opportunities for shopping and dining.
Compensation:
Physicians are independent contractors and are given base rates with the opportunity to earn productivity pay at specific sites. VEP provides independent contractors with pension plan administration, flexible schedules, and paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Physicians also enjoy the benefit of becoming a stockholder which allows them to be actively involved in the governance of the company.
